Masco Group Acquires Techniserv, Inc.

Masco Group has acquired Techniserv, Inc., a U.S.-based provider of bioreactor and bioprocess systems, to strengthen its U.S. presence and expand its upstream and downstream processing capabilities. Techniserv will continue operating under its current leadership as part of Masco Group's Process Business Unit, bringing a 62,000 sq. ft. Pennsylvania facility and service team to Masco's global platform.

West Street Infrastructure Partners III Acquires Synagro Technologies from EQT Infrastructure

West Street Infrastructure Partners III, an infrastructure fund managed by Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division, has agreed to acquire Synagro Technologies, Inc., the largest provider of wastewater biosolids solutions in North America, from EQT Infrastructure II. The transaction, expected to close in December 2020, transfers a platform that manages over 14 million tons of biosolids annually across 24 facilities and serves roughly 1,000 municipal and industrial customers across 35 states.

Bio-Techne Acquires Namocell

Bio-Techne Corporation has agreed to acquire Namocell, Inc., a Mountain View–based provider of single-cell sorting and dispensing platforms, with the deal expected to close in Bio-Techne's fiscal 2023 Q1. Namocell's Pala and Hana systems (installed base approaching 200 placements, ~60 sold in 2021) will complement Bio-Techne's Cell and Gene Therapy franchise and create commercial synergies across its analytical instruments sales force.

BioIVT Acquires XenoTech from Sekisui Chemical

BioIVT has acquired XenoTech, a Kansas City–based provider of ADME‑Tox in vitro models and contract research services, from Sekisui Chemical. The acquisition expands BioIVT's hepatic product portfolio and ADME/DMPK capabilities to better support biopharma customers' preclinical testing needs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Keensight-backed Biovian and 3P Biopharmaceuticals Merge to Form 3PBIOVIAN

Biovian and 3P Biopharmaceuticals have combined under their common shareholder Keensight Capital to form 3PBIOVIAN, a pan‑European biologics CDMO offering end‑to‑end development and manufacturing across microbial and mammalian protein expression, viral vectors, cell therapy and plasmid DNA. The combined group will operate sites in Pamplona‑Noáin (Spain) and Turku (Finland), maintain a commercial office in Boston, and employ over 500 professionals with gross sales above €75m; ERES IV (advised by Elyan Partners) and Sodena will remain minority shareholders alongside Keensight.
