HWN Energy (Hawthorne) Closes Two Asset Acquisitions in Alberta

HWN Energy Ltd., the Canadian subsidiary of Hawthorne Energy, has closed two complementary asset acquisitions in Central and Northern Alberta that increase pro forma production to more than 15,000 boe/d (approximately 50% oil/liquids) and expand its land base to roughly 667,000 net acres. The transactions are backed by investor Carnelian Energy Capital and include substantial infrastructure and a deep inventory of light oil drilling opportunities in the Dunvegan, Cardium and other Cretaceous zones.
