MidEuropa Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Mlinar

MidEuropa Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Croatian bakery chain Mlinar d.d. from founder Mato Skojo, who will retain a minority stake. The investment will support Mlinar's international expansion, accelerate store rollout and product innovation across its retail and wholesale bakery operations; the deal was expected to close in Q2 2019 subject to customary conditions.

Bosqar Invest Acquires Partial Stake in Mlinar from MidEuropa

MidEuropa has completed a partial sale of its stake in Mlinar to Zagreb-listed Bosqar Invest and co-investors. Under MidEuropa's ownership since 2019, Mlinar expanded its store network, modernized operations and nearly doubled revenues; Bosqar's purchase gives it a larger position in the regional bakery/food retail market.

New Water Capital Acquires Klosterman Baking Company

Coca‑Cola HBC Acquires Serbian Confectioner Bambi from MidEuropa

Coca‑Cola HBC AG agreed to acquire Bambi, the leading biscuit and confectionery producer in the former Yugoslav markets, from private equity owner MidEuropa. The transaction (reported at €260m) is subject to customary competition clearance and was expected to close in Q2 2019; Coca‑Cola HBC said the acquisition will support Bambi's geographic expansion across its network of markets.

KKR Acquires Majority Stake in Refresco

KKR has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Refresco Group B.V., the global independent beverage contract manufacturer headquartered in Rotterdam. Existing investors PAI Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation will remain significant minority shareholders; transaction terms were not disclosed. KKR said it will support Refresco's expansion of its global footprint, sustainability initiatives and M&A strategy.
