AFL Acquires Majority Stake in ITC Service Group

AFL (a Fujikura subsidiary) has purchased a majority stake in ITC Service Group, a Sacramento-based provider of fiber optic network services, outside plant, wireless and workforce solutions. ITC will continue operating under its name with roughly 600 employees; affiliates of Moorgate Capital Partners and Tim Sauer will remain shareholders and Jim Rush was named ITC president.

The deal expands AFL's wireless services portfolio and DAS capabilities while strengthening its presence in U.S. sports-venue wireless networking, particularly in the West, Southwest and Southeast.

Marlink Group, an Apax Partners portfolio company, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of ITC Global, a US-based provider of enterprise satellite communications solutions. The deal (originally announced January 2021 and completed after regulatory approvals) will integrate ITC Global into the Marlink platform to expand the Group's managed satcom capabilities and strengthen its presence in the energy, enterprise and maritime markets — particularly in the US, the UK and Australia.
