TFI International Acquires Siemens Transportation Group and Hot Line Freight Systems

TFI International announced it has agreed to acquire Siemens Transportation Group (STG) and has completed the acquisition of Hot Line Freight Systems to expand its Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) footprint across Canada and the United States. STG, a family-owned Saskatoon-based LTL operator with roughly C$150 million in annual revenue and 15 terminals, will remain managed by Doug Siemens; Hot Line, a Wisconsin-based specialized LTL provider with nearly 200 employees and 14 terminals, will be managed by Paul Burgmeier under TFI's LTL segment.

TFI International Acquires CMW Express and FRL Express

Montreal-based TFI International has acquired two Canada-based carriers, CMW Express and its sister company FRL Express, expanding its TL and LTL footprint across Quebec, the Maritimes, Ontario and the eastern U.S. Terms were not disclosed; the deals are described as tuck-in add-ons as TFI continues a spree of smaller regional acquisitions while integrating prior larger deals.

TFI International Acquires Hercules Forwarding

TFI International has acquired Hercules Forwarding, a family-owned Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier that operates a 31-terminal network across the U.S. and Canada. The bolt-on deal strengthens TFI's U.S. LTL footprint and cross-border capabilities by adding Hercules' fleet, terminals and expertise in US–Canada shipments.

TFI International Acquires Gusgo Transport

TFI International signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Gusgo Transport (including Seatainer Transport and Seatainer Terminals), a Vaughan, Ontario–based container transport and storage business. The acquisition adds container drayage, storage capacity (6,000-container yard) and ~250 chassis to TFI's Truckload segment, expands density and geographic reach across the Greater Toronto Area and cross-border lanes into the U.S.

TFI International Acquires Keystone Western

TFI International has acquired Keystone Western, a Manitoba-based asset-based logistics provider specializing in truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) services across Canada and the United States. Founder and CEO Norm Curtis sold the company to TFI; Keystone Western will gain access to TFI's resources, expanded equipment and a broader North American network.

NFI Acquires CAI Logistics from CAI International

NFI has acquired CAI Logistics, the non-asset logistics business of CAI International, adding a unit that generates more than $100 million in annual revenue. The deal (announced August 2020) expands NFI's brokerage, intermodal and global freight forwarding capabilities across North America; CAI Logistics' operating entities will be rebranded NFI.
