Mariani Premier Group announced the acquisition of Hazeltine Nurseries, a Venice, Florida-based residential landscape and nursery business founded in 1983. The deal expands Mariani Premier Group’s presence in Florida and adds Hazeltine’s design/build, hardscape, irrigation, maintenance capabilities and a 90‑acre nursery to its nationwide family of landscaping companies.

Central Garden & Pet Acquires Hopewell Nursery

Central Garden & Pet has entered into an agreement to acquire Hopewell Nursery, a live goods grower headquartered in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The acquisition expands Central's live goods business and scale in the Northeast; Hopewell operates over 1,800 acres, employs approximately 500 people, and the deal is expected to close December 31, 2020 (terms undisclosed).

Hydrofarm Acquires House & Garden

Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. agreed to acquire House & Garden, Inc. and affiliated entities for approximately $125 million, funded with existing cash, with the acquired businesses becoming wholly owned indirect subsidiaries. The acquisition expands Hydrofarm's branded nutrients portfolio (including the House & Garden and Mad Farmer brands), with House & Garden expected to generate about $55 million in 2021 net sales and the deal valuing the business at under 7x estimated 2021 adjusted EBITDA.
