StoneRidge Insurance Brokers (SIB), a CIVC Partners-backed insurance platform headquartered in Ancaster, Ontario, has acquired Generations Insurance Inc., a Scarborough-based full-service personal and commercial insurance brokerage founded in 1999. The three founding partners of Generations (Claire Munro, Vicki Van Santen and Tracey Long) sold the business to SIB as an add-on to expand SIB's Ontario personal and commercial insurance offerings.

The acquisition expands StoneRidge’s personal, commercial and life insurance offerings and continues SIB’s roll-up strategy in Canada; Stark is the eighth transaction since SIB partnered with CIVC in 2019.
