ACON Investments Acquires Pine Environmental Services from Saw Mill Capital

ACON Investments has acquired Pine Environmental Services, LLC, the largest independent provider of environmental test and measurement equipment solutions in North America, from Saw Mill Capital. Pine — based in Windsor, New Jersey with 38 locations across the U.S. and Canada — will retain significant management ownership alongside ACON; terms were not disclosed.

ACON Investments, together with Madrid-based Quarza Inversiones, acquired a majority stake in Sola de Antequera S.A. (Alsur), a producer, processor and distributor of preserved and canned vegetables with production facilities in Spain and Peru and sales across Spain and the United States. The Jiménez Family and Mario Mustafá Aguinaga retain a significant minority stake; ACON said the strategy will focus on expanding Alsur's footprint in Spain and accelerating growth into the U.S.

Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) will acquire Blue North Fisheries and Clipper Seafoods and organize them under a newly formed subsidiary, Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods, to strengthen its position in the Bering Sea freezer longline cod fishery. The deal closes on September 30 and BBNC says the acquisition will drive operational efficiencies, product expansion and greater market consolidation while retaining existing management and staff.

Nature's Touch Acquires Sunrise Growers (SunOpta) Frozen Fruit Operations

The deal transfers facilities in Edwardsville, Kansas and Jacona, Mexico to Nature's Touch, expanding its production capacity, product diversity and North American geographic reach.
