Seoul Medical Group (SMG) and Korean American Medical Group (KAMG) have merged to form a leading national independent physician association sponsored by healthcare-focused private equity firm Ascend Capital Partners. The combined network serves nearly 100,000 patients and more than 5,000 physicians across multiple U.S. states; Ascend will provide capital to invest in infrastructure, technology and operations. Financial terms were not disclosed.
