PlotBox has acquired the Management Information Systems (MIS) deathcare software business from Batesville. The deal transfers Batesville's MIS platform to PlotBox to strengthen PlotBox’s US market position and expand its cloud-native cemetery, crematory and funeral-home management capabilities while allowing Batesville to concentrate on its core burial, cremation and technology products.

LongRange Capital Acquires 20.1% Stake in Bakkavor

On 12 January 2024 LongRange Capital Fund I, L.P. agreed to buy 116,468,928 ordinary shares (20.1% of share capital) in Bakkavor from BP-PE5 L.L.C. (an affiliate of the Baupost Group). The investment (effective on or around 16 January 2024) includes a relationship agreement and the appointment of Robert (Bob) Berlin as LongRange's non-independent non-executive director on Bakkavor's board.

Lone Star Funds Acquires Hillenbrand, Inc.

An affiliate of Lone Star Funds has completed the previously announced all-cash acquisition of Hillenbrand, Inc. for an enterprise value of approximately $3.8 billion. The transaction takes Hillenbrand private (its common stock will be delisted) and Lone Star will partner with Hillenbrand's management to execute strategic growth and operational plans.

BTS Group AB Acquires Bates Communications

BTS Group AB has agreed to acquire Bates Communications Inc., a Boston-based executive coaching and corporate communications firm, to strengthen BTS's executive and team development offerings and establish a stronger presence in the US Northeast. Bates reported revenues above $7 million in 2020 and about 23 employees; the deal includes cash consideration, newly issued BTS shares and contingent earnouts.
