Del Sol Food Company, maker of BRIANNAS Fine Salad Dressings, has acquired John Wm. Macy's Bakery, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of baked cheese sticks, cheese crisps, and crostinis. John Wm. Macy's will continue operations in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, and the acquisition is intended to create product and operational synergies between the two companies.

Brynwood Partners (through newly formed West Madison Foods) has agreed to acquire the Marie's salad dressing brand and the Dean's Dip business from Ventura Foods, including the Thornton, Illinois manufacturing facility. The deal is a corporate carveout/divestiture; West Madison Foods will be headquartered in Chicago and the Thornton plant (about 84 full-time employees) will continue to support the business.

Wakefern Acquires Di Bruno Bros. Brand; DB Gourmet/Brown's Acquire Retail Stores

Wakefern Food Corp. acquired the Di Bruno Bros. trademark and portfolio of branded specialty food products to expand national distribution, while DB Gourmet Markets, LLC (operated by Wakefern member Brown's Super Stores) acquired the five Di Bruno Bros. retail locations and a bottle shop. Wakefern said it will market the branded products nationally through a dedicated sales team and has appointed Emilio Mignucci as VP of the Di Bruno Bros. brand to preserve the company's culinary legacy.
