Thompson Street Capital Partners Acquires LifeSpan Biosciences (LSBio)

Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a St. Louis-based private equity firm, has partnered with management to acquire Seattle-based LifeSpan Biosciences, Inc. (LSBio), a developer and e‑commerce distributor of antibodies, kits, proteins and related reagents for academic and pharmaceutical research. TSCP said it will support LSBio's strategy to expand its catalog and capabilities organically and via targeted acquisitions; terms were not disclosed.

Vector Laboratories Acquires Click Chemistry Tools and Fluoroprobes

Vector Laboratories, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, has acquired Click Chemistry Tools (Scottsdale, AZ) and Fluoroprobes to expand its manufacturing, bioconjugation and labeling capabilities. The add-on acquisitions, with terms undisclosed, are intended to accelerate commercialization of protein detection technologies and increase security of supply for biopharma, diagnostics and life-science customers.

Maravai LifeSciences Acquires MyChem

Maravai LifeSciences (NASDAQ: MRVI) acquired MyChem, LLC, a San Diego-based provider of ultra-pure nucleotides, for $240 million in cash plus potential contingent consideration. The acquisition integrates MyChem into Maravai's TriLink nucleic acid production business to expand capabilities for mRNA synthesis, accelerate R&D and support GMP manufacturing for vaccine, therapeutic and diagnostic customers.

AVS Bio, headquartered in Norwich, Connecticut, supplies SPF eggs, antigens, cell products and diagnostic/manufacturing support services and has ~250 employees across 20+ facilities; Fairmount Partners advised Charles River on the sale.
