Big Shoulders Capital and Iroquois Industrial Group Acquire MOD Interiors

Big Shoulders Capital (a family office) and Iroquois Industrial Group (an industrial operator) completed the acquisition of MOD Interiors, a high-end architectural millwork, design and engineering firm. The transaction brings MOD into a larger joint venture alongside IIG-owned businesses (including Savannah Industrial Solutions) to expand metalwork, stonework and finishing capabilities and enable bidding on larger, integrated interior projects.

Coda Resources, Ltd. Acquires Design Plastics Inc.

Bain Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Milacron Injection Molding and Extrusion Business

Bain Capital’s Special Situations team agreed to purchase an approximately 51% majority stake in the Milacron injection molding and extrusion business from Hillenbrand for $287 million, with Hillenbrand retaining roughly 49% and remaining an investor. Bain will have operational control and will partner with Milacron management to accelerate growth while Hillenbrand uses proceeds to pay down debt and focus on its core portfolio.

Founder Mark Kinder will resume as President, and Vance Street intends to leverage PDC's micro-molding and over-molding capabilities to expand its medtech manufacturing platform and serve medical device OEMs and microfluidics customers.

Group of Private Investors Acquire Available Plastics

Available Plastics, Inc., a Huntsville, Alabama-based PVC extrusion and injection molding manufacturer, was sold by owner Suanne Yarborough to a group of private investors. FourBridges Capital Advisors served as exclusive advisor; CEO Keven Cook and Operations Manager Anthony Peavy will remain with the company. The company operates a 120,000 sq. ft. facility with 8 extrusion and 3 injection molding lines and has 46 full-time employees.
