Engineered Specialties, LLC d.b.a. RapidAir (a Pfingsten portfolio company) has acquired Alpha-Pure Corporation, a Michigan City, Indiana-based distributor of compressed air treatment and condensate management products. The add-on deal expands RapidAir's product portfolio and customer reach across distributors, contractors, automotive and farm & ranch retailers; the transaction closed November 19, 2021.

Gryphon Investors Acquires AirX Climate Solutions from L Catterton

Gryphon Investors has agreed to acquire AirX Climate Solutions (ACS), a specialty HVAC designer, manufacturer, distributor, and servicer headquartered in Oklahoma City, from private equity firm L Catterton. Gryphon will partner with ACS management, who are reinvesting, to expand geographic footprint, grow aftermarket and service offerings, and pursue add-on acquisitions; the deal is expected to close in Q4 2023 and financial terms were not disclosed.

AirX Climate Solutions Acquires Powrmatic USA

AirX Climate Solutions (ACS), a Gryphon Investors-backed specialty HVAC platform, has acquired Powrmatic USA, a Finksburg, Maryland-based manufacturer of commercial and industrial heating, cooling and air turnover systems. Powrmatic, with ~30 employees, was divested by Stamm International Corporation and will operate under ACS to expand its specialty HVAC capabilities and mid‑Atlantic footprint.

AirX Climate Solutions Acquires AboveAir Technologies

AirX Climate Solutions, a Gryphon Investors-backed platform, has acquired AboveAir Technologies, a Frederick, Maryland-based OEM of precision cooling solutions for data centers. AboveAir will operate as a new division of ACS with founder Matt Miller named President of the AboveAir division and becoming a shareholder; ACS will invest in manufacturing capacity at AboveAir's 100,000-square-foot facility and expand its Mid-Atlantic footprint.

Gryphon Investors Acquires Right Time Heating and Air Conditioning from Clairvest

Gryphon Investors completed a majority acquisition of Right Time Heating and Air Conditioning from Clairvest Group Inc., acquiring Canada’s largest independent residential HVAC services provider. Right Time — founded in 2014 and based in St. Catharines, Ontario with ~400 employees and 11 locations — will keep its management team in place with management retaining a significant equity stake as Gryphon supports continued organic growth and add-on M&A.

Pfingsten Acquires Tempest Telecom Solutions
