Sequel Holdings Acquires Majority Interest in Uniphase, LLC

Sequel Holdings acquired a majority interest in Uniphase, LLC in March 2024, adding the St. Charles, Illinois-based engineering and custom injection molding company to its portfolio. Founder Bill Morici retains a significant minority stake and remains CEO; Uniphase specializes in tool design and building and plastic injection molding using liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and engineered thermoplastics.

Uniphase (Sequel Holdings Portfolio) Acquires Janler Corporation

Uniphase, LLC, a portfolio company of Sequel Holdings, L.P., has acquired Janler Corporation, a Chicago-based contract mold-making and plastic injection molding business. The deal expands Uniphase's tooling and molding capabilities, doubles toolmakers and engineering capacity across more than 125,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and is being executed as an add-on to the Uniphase platform.

Techniplas Acquires Molded Products Division of Lyle Industries

Techniplas, LLC has acquired the Molded Products Division of Lyle Industries, Inc., a Tier 1 supplier of cargo systems, carpeted trim and molded floors for luxury SUVs and electric passenger cars. The divestiture gives Techniplas new strategic manufacturing locations in the U.S. Southeast and complementary molding process capabilities while Lyle Industries will continue to supply premium carpet to the business.

Sweet Tooth Enterprises Acquires Inter Molds Inc.

Monument MicroCap Partners-backed portfolio company Sweet Tooth Enterprises has acquired Inter Molds Inc., an aluminum mold-maker based in Bay Shore, New York. The add-on expands Sweet Tooth's Aztec division with in-house toolmaking capabilities and increased CNC machining capacity; it is Sweet Tooth's first add-on since Monument's October 2023 recapitalization.

Midwest Composite Technologies (CORE Industrial Partners) Acquires ICOMold

The add-on expands MCT’s traditional and additive manufacturing capabilities alongside its recent FATHOM acquisition to create a larger on‑demand digital manufacturing platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Adler Industrial Solutions Acquires R&D/Leverage

Adler Industrial Solutions, a tooling roll-up, acquired R&D/Leverage, a mold manufacturer headquartered in Lee's Summit, Missouri with an additional manufacturing facility in Nottinghamshire, England. The acquisition (Adler's third) expands Adler's capabilities into blow molds, injection stretch blow molds and preform molds, increases scale and adds European manufacturing capacity; founders Ivan and Ardith Drienik exited to Adler.
