Oak View Group (OVG) completed its acquisition of Spectra, the venue management, food & beverage and hospitality business formerly part of Comcast Spectacor, after receiving DOJ approval. The combined company will operate as a full-service live events and entertainment platform, integrating Spectra's venue management and hospitality capabilities with OVG's venue development, sponsorship and facilities services.

Oak View Group (OVG) has acquired UK-based Rhubarb Hospitality Collection (RHC) from LGT Private Debt. RHC, a premium hospitality and catering operator with around 2,000 employees and forecasted nine-figure revenues in 2023, will be integrated into OVG Hospitality to expand and elevate food & beverage and premium hospitality services across OVG-owned and third-party venues worldwide.

Oak View Group's Rhubarb Hospitality Collection Acquires Brûlée Catering

Oak View Group announced that its Rhubarb Hospitality Collection (RHC) has merged with Philadelphia-based Brûlée Catering, retiring the Brûlée brand and integrating its staff and client portfolio into RHC. The move expands RHC/OVG Hospitality’s premium event and catering presence in Philadelphia by combining Brûlée’s 25-year local relationships with RHC’s international hospitality capabilities.

SK Capital Partners Acquires Spectra Confectionery Ltd.

Funds advised by SK Capital Partners acquired Spectra Confectionery Ltd., a Toronto-area manufacturer of premium decorative toppings and confectionery products, from founders Bill and Maureen Georgas. Debt financing was provided by MidStar Capital and unitranche financing (with an equity co-investment) was provided by Stellus Capital Management; Spectra's leadership (the Georgas family) will remain in place to run day-to-day operations.

Cornell Capital Acquires Spectrum Automotive Holdings Corp.

Cornell Capital LLC has acquired Spectrum Automotive Holdings Corp. from Southfield Capital; terms were not disclosed. Spectrum, headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, is an agent, marketer and administrator of finance and insurance (F&I) products serving more than 1,400 dealers, OEMs and administrators across the U.S. Southfield Capital had owned Spectrum since 2015 and the management team will remain as significant shareholders alongside Cornell Capital.
