KKR Acquires Majority Stake in Refresco

KKR has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Refresco Group B.V., the global independent beverage contract manufacturer headquartered in Rotterdam. Existing investors PAI Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation will remain significant minority shareholders; transaction terms were not disclosed. KKR said it will support Refresco's expansion of its global footprint, sustainability initiatives and M&A strategy.

Berlin Packaging Acquires United Bottles & Packaging

Berlin Packaging has acquired United Bottles & Packaging, a Quebec-based distributor of glass bottles and closures serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic food & beverage markets. The deal strengthens Berlin Packaging's presence in Canada and expands its glass offerings across North America; all employees and locations will be retained.

RBC Bearings Acquires VACCO Industries from ESCO Technologies

RBC Bearings Incorporated has completed the acquisition of VACCO Industries from ESCO Technologies for $275 million in cash, subject to post-closing adjustments. VACCO, headquartered in South El Monte, California, manufactures precision valves, manifolds, regulators and other mission-critical components for space and naval defense channels and will be integrated into RBC's Aerospace and Defense segment.

SVB Foods Acquires Vita Specialty Foods

SVB Foods, a Martinsburg, West Virginia contract packaging and food manufacturer, has acquired Vita Specialty Foods, including its subsidiaries Virginia Honey Company and The Halifax Group (Oak Hill Farms). The deal expands SVB Foods' product portfolio and enhances its private-label and licensing capabilities for dressings, sauces, marinades and related condiment products.

R-V Industries (Prospect Capital portfolio) Acquires MBC Aerosol

MBC Aerosol will continue operations from its Elgin, Illinois facility with founders James McBride and Peter Burt remaining in place; the deal is an add-on to R-V's strategy of growth through acquisitions.

ProMach Acquires MBF, Italy-based Bottle-Filling Specialist

ProMach has acquired MBF, a Verona, Italy-based manufacturer of rinsing, filling, and closing machines for the wine and distilled spirits industries. The acquisition expands ProMach's filling and closing capabilities and broadens its global reach in the spirits and wine markets; MBF’s leadership team will remain in place and the company’s ~200 employees will join ProMach’s Primary Packaging business line.
