Vonco Products Acquires Flex-Pak Packaging Products

Vonco Products LLC acquired Flex-Pak Packaging Products, Inc., a Batavia, Illinois-based specialist in flexible barrier packaging and sterile DuPont Tyvek pouches. The acquisition, which closed December 31, 2021, expands Vonco's contract manufacturing capabilities for healthcare and consumer markets by adding sterile barrier pouch expertise and complementary packaging services.

Kohlberg & Company Acquires DecoPac from Snow Phipps Group

Kohlberg & Company, L.L.C. has acquired DecoPac, Inc., the world’s largest supplier of cake decorations, from Snow Phipps Group, LLC. DecoPac — headquartered in Anoka, Minnesota with ~650 employees and facilities in the U.S. and U.K. — will be supported by Kohlberg to grow its core manufacturing, distribution and proprietary tech platforms (PhotoCake, Cakes.com); members of DecoPac management and the McGlynn family are investing alongside Kohlberg.

SC Pack Group Acquires Frapak Packaging

The SC Pack Group, backed by private equity investor MML Capital, has acquired Frapak Packaging — a longstanding partner and European supplier of glass and sustainable plastic packaging. Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.
