Jabil Acquires Retronix to Advance Circular Economy Services

Jabil Inc. has acquired Retronix, a specialist in electronic component reclamation, laser reballing, retinning and authenticity testing, to expand Jabil’s circular-economy and component-refurbishment capabilities. The acquisition brings Retronix’s reclamation and refurbishment technologies into Jabil’s global manufacturing and reverse-supply-chain offerings to reduce electronic waste and support customers across telecom, defense, automotive and healthcare end markets.

The transaction was for approximately £35 million in cash with up to an additional £5 million contingent on performance, and Retrogenix becomes part of Charles River's Discovery and Safety Assessment segment to expand large-molecule and cell therapy discovery capabilities.
