NTT DATA Services has entered an agreement to acquire Nexient, a U.S.-based cloud-native, product-minded agile software services firm, to expand its Application Development & Modernization capabilities. Nexient will join NTT DATA's digital practice, bringing full-stack product development, agile teams and U.S.-based delivery centers (including Ann Arbor, MI and Columbus, OH); the deal was announced May 18, 2021 and is subject to customary closing conditions.

ServiceNow Acquires data.world

The acquisition expands ServiceNow’s capabilities for making enterprise data "AI-ready," adding metadata management and governance to support AI and automation across its platform; terms were not disclosed.

NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, a group company of NTT DATA, has acquired London-headquartered digital transformation provider Sapphire from private equity investor Horizon Capital. The sale generates a 5.0x return and a 50% IRR for Horizon Capital; under Horizon's ownership Sapphire grew revenues from £38m to over £75m and expanded headcount from 250 to over 420.
