Aethon Energy Management Acquires Tellurian's Upstream and Midstream Assets

Aethon Energy Management LLC has completed the acquisition of Tellurian Inc.'s integrated upstream and midstream assets, expanding Aethon's Haynesville Shale position to ~375,000 net acres with over 3 Bcf/d of gathering and treating capacity. Concurrently, Aethon signed a heads-of-agreement for 2 mtpa of LNG from Tellurian's Driftwood project; financial and legal advisors included Citi, Truist Securities, Gibson Dunn, Lazard and Akin Gump.

The deal also includes the Carthage Hub, a major gas trading and delivery hub with >1 Bcf/d handling capability, and is intended to expand Voyager's footprint in the Haynesville Shale and improve producer connectivity to Gulf Coast markets.

DTE Midstream Acquires Haynesville Gathering System and 36" Pipeline from Momentum Midstream and Indigo Natural Resources

DTE Midstream (a unit of DTE Energy) agreed to acquire a gathering system and a 150-mile, 36" gathering pipeline in the Haynesville shale from Momentum Midstream and Indigo Natural Resources for $2.25 billion in cash plus a $400 million milestone payment. The assets include an existing 1.2 Bcf/d gathering system (expandable to 2 Bcf/d) and a pipeline under construction; both assets are supported by long-term contracts and provide DTE enhanced access to Gulf Coast and Louisiana gas markets. The transaction was approved by DTE's board, expected to close in Q4 2019, and was reported as officially closed on December 4, 2019.
