KKR Acquires Barracuda Networks from Thoma Bravo

KKR's investment funds have agreed to acquire Barracuda Networks from Thoma Bravo, with the transaction intended to accelerate Barracuda's growth and expand its cloud-first cybersecurity capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed; Barracuda — a provider of email, application, network and data protection serving over 200,000 customers — will implement KKR's employee ownership program and pursue expansion in areas such as MDR, XDR and SASE.

Barracuda Acquires Fyde

Barracuda Networks acquired Fyde, a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) provider based in Palo Alto, California (with an office in Porto, Portugal), to add ZTNA capabilities to its CloudGen SASE platform. The Fyde solution was rebranded/rolled into Barracuda CloudGen Access and made available immediately to businesses and soon to Managed Service Providers; financial terms were not disclosed.

Lumifi Cyber Acquires Netsurion

Lumifi Cyber Inc. has acquired Netsurion, a Fort Lauderdale-based managed XDR/MDR provider, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition adds about 400 customers and engineering, customer success and sales resources to Lumifi and is intended to expand Lumifi's MDR capabilities via its U.S.-based SOC and SHIELDVision platform.

SilverSky Acquires Cybraics

The deal enhances SilverSky’s threat detection capabilities, expands its federal (including DoD) market presence, and brings Cybraics’ leadership into SilverSky’s management team.

Sophos Acquires SOC.OS

The acquisition will expand Sophos' Managed Threat Response (MTR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) capabilities by adding third‑party telemetry ingestion and automated alert clustering and triage.

Broadway Technology Acquires Barracuda FX

Long Ridge-backed Broadway Technology has acquired Barracuda FX, an Irish provider of FX order management technology, to expand Broadway’s multi-asset trading and OMS capabilities. As part of the deal Barracuda FX leadership—CEO Kieran Fitzpatrick and COO Maurice Curran—will join Broadway to lead FX product and operations, accelerating product capability expansion and cross-selling to a combined client base that includes many of the world’s largest banks.
