EQT Infrastructure V has agreed to co-invest alongside EQT Infrastructure IV in Deutsche Glasfaser, acquiring a roughly 12% stake post-close. The investment will support Deutsche Glasfaser's large-scale fiber-to-the-home roll-out in rural Germany and is expected to close in Q4 2020.

EQT and OMERS Acquire Deutsche Glasfaser

EQT Infrastructure IV and OMERS Infrastructure have agreed to acquire Deutsche Glasfaser from KKR Infrastructure and Reggeborgh and will combine it with EQT's portfolio company inexio. The combined group will accelerate FTTH roll-out across rural Germany with a planned investment of over EUR 7 billion to expand gigabit-capable fiber infrastructure.

EQT Infrastructure and Stonepeak Acquire DELTA Fiber

EQT Infrastructure V and Stonepeak have agreed to acquire DELTA Fiber from EQT Infrastructure III, with each buyer taking a 50% stake and co-controlling the company. Headquartered in Schiedam, Netherlands, DELTA Fiber operates an approximately 50,000 km FTTH network connecting about 900,000 households and businesses (approximately 600 employees) and will be supported by the new owners to accelerate rollout to two million connections by 2025.

EQT Infrastructure to merge IP-Only and GlobalConnect

EQT Infrastructure announced plans to combine its portfolio companies IP-Only and GlobalConnect to create a leading Northern European fiber-based datacom and cloud-enabling infrastructure provider. The merger creates scale across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Northern Germany — combining roughly 58,000 km of fiber, ~18,000 sqm of data center capacity, more than 1,500 employees and combined 2018 revenues of ~EUR 520 million to accelerate network rollout, innovation and cross-border services for B2B, B2C and public customers.

EQT Infrastructure (EQT Infrastructure IV) agreed to acquire inexio Beteiligungs GmbH & Co. KGaA from Warburg Pincus, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, the founders and several minority investors. The investment will support inexio's large-scale FTTH rollout and expansion of its fiber-optic network across rural and suburban Germany, with a stated commitment to connect 2 million households by 2030.

QualTek Acquires Fiber Network Solutions

QualTek, a leading provider of turnkey telecommunications and power infrastructure services, acquired Fiber Network Solutions (FNS), a Tyler, Texas-based provider of fiber optic and electrical services focused on renewable energy projects. The acquisition expands QualTek's service capabilities in fiber deployment and renewable energy infrastructure and extends its geographic footprint across the United States.
