Motive Capital Corp, a SPAC sponsored by Motive Partners, completed a business combination with Forge Global, taking the private securities marketplace public under the new name Forge Global Holdings, Inc. The transaction closed March 21, 2022 (shares began trading March 22, 2022) and provided Forge with roughly $215.6 million of gross proceeds to fund growth, accelerate its technology platform and expand its marketplace and data services.

Mercer Advisors Acquires Quest Capital Management, Inc.

Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. (Mercer Advisors) has acquired Quest Capital Management, Inc., a Dallas-based wealth management firm with approximately $1.5 billion in AUM serving about 660 clients. The six Quest shareholders and seventeen staff members will join Mercer as the firm expands its Texas footprint and access to Mercer’s family office, tax and back-office capabilities.

Farragut provided senior subordinated debt and preferred equity from Farragut SBIC Fund II to support the transaction; the investor group plans to use Accurate as a platform for further acquisitions in the metal fabrication industry.
