Race Winning Brands, a platform company backed by MiddleGround Capital, has acquired TPT Solutions, the owner of TransGo, RevMax and Transmission Specialties. The transaction is an add-on to the Race Winning Brands platform and expands the platform's transmission-focused aftermarket product capabilities; terms were not disclosed. Prestwick served as exclusive advisor to TPT Solutions and its sponsor Five Points Capital.

CenterGate Capital Invests in TransGo

CenterGate Capital's affiliate has made an investment in TransGo, LLC, a long-established designer and manufacturer of aftermarket automatic transmission valve body repair kits, headquartered in El Monte, California. The transaction will provide TransGo with capital and strategic resources to accelerate growth, increase speed to market and expand vehicle coverage while management, led by President John Landry, remains in place.

The transaction is RWB's fourth add-on since MiddleGround acquired the platform in December 2021 and expands RWB's portfolio in the premium aftermarket exhaust and air-flow category.

Hidden Harbor Forms Burnout Brands; Acquires Monster Transmission and Thor Convertors

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners (via newly formed platform Burnout Brands) has completed the acquisition of Monster Transmission LLC and Thor Convertors LLC, aftermarket automotive remanufacturers and distributors based in Brooksville, Florida. The transaction positions Burnout Brands as a platform for scaling performance auto aftermarket businesses; existing owners of Monster Transmission will retain an ownership stake and management will continue to run day-to-day operations.

Swanson Industries Acquires TransAxle's Off-Highway Business

Swanson Industries, a portfolio company of Turnspire Capital Partners, has acquired the Off-Highway Business of TransAxle Holdings, LLC. The acquired business — a U.S.-based remanufacturer of transmissions, differentials, hydraulics, axles and brake systems with locations in Pennsauken, New Jersey and Garner, North Carolina — will be rebranded as the Swanson Off-Highway division to expand Swanson's capabilities and service capacity in core end markets such as mining, construction and aerospace.
