PPG Acquires Arsonsisi Powder Coatings Manufacturing Business

PPG has completed the acquisition of the powder coatings manufacturing business of Arsonsisi, gaining a highly automated powder manufacturing plant in Verbania, Italy and added metallic bonding capabilities in the EMEA region. Financial terms were not disclosed; the acquired powder business reported approximately $15 million in sales in 2021.

American Industrial Partners (AIP) completed the acquisition of PPG's U.S. and Canadian architectural coatings business for $550 million and has renamed the business The Pittsburgh Paints Company. The newly independent company — a top-three producer of interior and exterior paints, stains, caulks, adhesives and sealants with more than 6,000 employees and 750 company-owned stores — will operate as a focused platform serving professional and DIY end markets across the U.S. and Canada.

Pace Analytical Services Acquires Alpha Analytical, LLC

Pace Analytical Services, a division of Pace and a PE-backed national laboratory network, has acquired Alpha Analytical, LLC, a full-service environmental laboratory based in Westborough, Massachusetts. The deal expands Pace's geographic footprint and laboratory capabilities in the Northeast, adding multiple labs and service centers and strengthening testing services for emerging contaminants such as PFAS.

Nichols Portland, Inc. Acquires Assets of Alpha Precision Group, LLC

APG is a diversified metal-forming manufacturer (powder metallurgy, metal injection molding, additive manufacturing and precision valve assemblies) headquartered in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, with five plants across Pennsylvania and Michigan and over 400 employees; financial terms were not disclosed.

Cold Chain Technologies Acquires Packaging Technology Group (PTG)
