MLC CAD Systems, LLC, an Austin-based provider of CAD/CAM/PLM and additive manufacturing solutions, has acquired San Diego CAD CAM Inc. The acquisition expands MLC's geographic presence and technical support capacity within the Mastercam partner network, giving San Diego CAD CAM customers access to MLC's larger technical and customer service teams.

Sandvik / Mastercam Acquires MCAM Northwest, ShopWare and OptiPro Systems' CAD/CAM Business

Sandvik (through its Mastercam business unit) has acquired three US-based Mastercam resellers: MCAM Northwest, ShopWare and the CAD/CAM solutions business line of OptiPro Systems (parent Brightside 09, Inc.). The deals add roughly 32 employees and about USD 10 million of combined 2024 revenue to Mastercam, strengthening regional presence and support capabilities across the US; the purchase price was not disclosed.

TriMech Acquires Mastercam Businesses of MACDAC Engineering and Compumachine

Sandvik Acquires CAM Reseller Cimquest

Sandvik AB has signed an agreement to acquire Cimquest, a Branchburg, New Jersey-based reseller of Mastercam CAD/CAM software and distributor of additive (3D printing) products. Cimquest will become part of Sandvik’s Mastercam business unit within Sandvik Manufacturing and Machining Solutions; the company has about 55 employees and reported ~USD 26m revenue in 2023.

Sandvik Acquires ICAM Technologies Corporation

Sandvik AB has signed an agreement to acquire Canada-based ICAM Technologies Corporation, a provider of post-processing, machine simulation and tool-path optimization software for CNC machining. ICAM (founded in Montreal in 1971) will be reported within Sandvik Coromant; the company has about 27 employees and 2020 revenues of roughly SEK 30 million. The deal is expected to close in Q4 2021 and strengthens Sandvik's verification and optimization offering for component manufacturing.

Sandvik / Mastercam Acquires FASTech (CAM Reseller)

FASTech will be integrated into Mastercam and reported within Sandvik Manufacturing and Machining Solutions; the parties did not disclose the purchase price. The acquisition strengthens Sandvik/Mastercam's CAM capabilities and regional presence serving manufacturing customers in the US Midwest.
