Yum! Brands has acquired Heartstyles, a leadership development and behavioral-assessment consultancy, to scale a people-first leadership program across its KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell systems. Yum! is initiating a multi-year global rollout of Heartstyles to support its franchisees and strengthen front-line manager capabilities.

Tasty Hut, LLC, a portfolio company of Tasty Brands, LP (an affiliate of Triton Pacific), acquired a portfolio of 27 franchised Pizza Hut restaurants across West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia for an aggregate purchase price of $8.7 million. The deal — which closed June 15, 2022 — is an add-on to Tasty Hut's existing Pizza Hut footprint and expands the platform's presence in the Appalachian region.

MTY Food Group Inc. announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary acquired substantially all of the assets of South Street Burger for approximately $5.1 million. UMB Financial Corporation completed its previously announced all-stock acquisition of Heartland Financial USA, Inc., creating a larger regional bank with approximately $68 billion in assets and expanded operations across 13 states. The deal (announced at an implied value of about $2.0 billion and using a 0.55 share exchange ratio) increases UMB's private wealth AUM by roughly 31–32%, adds more than 100 branches and ATMs, and brings HTLF operations onto UMB platforms before full brand conversion.
