Boston-based private equity firm WestView Capital Partners has completed a growth investment in The Shelby Group, a Schaumburg, Illinois–based e-procurement transformation and optimization consultancy. The Shelby Group's leadership (CEO John Dreyer and EVP Jim Kandilas) will remain in place and retain significant ownership as the company uses the capital to scale service delivery capabilities and advance its proprietary digital procurement solutions.

Accenture Acquires Insight Sourcing

Accenture has agreed to acquire Insight Sourcing, an Atlanta-based provider of strategic sourcing and procurement services, including its energy procurement business Insight Energy. The deal will add roughly 220 sourcing consultants and a suite of procurement technology tools to Accenture’s Sourcing & Procurement practice to strengthen its capabilities for private equity and corporate clients across consumer goods, retail, technology and industrial sectors.
