Controlled Environment Systems (CES), a Mansfield, Massachusetts-based designer and builder of controlled environments, has acquired JAX Cool, the low-temperature construction division of JAX Refrigeration Inc. The acquisition expands CES’s thermal-envelope, installation and implementation capabilities and strengthens its presence in the U.S. Southeast while keeping JAX Cool employees at their current location.

Technical Safety Services (TSS), a portfolio company of Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, has acquired Controlled Environment Management (CEM), a Gilbert, Arizona–based provider of cleanroom/controlled-environment testing, validation, certification, and calibration services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research customers. The deal expands TSS's geographic presence in the U.S. Southwest and adds specialized validation and calibration capabilities to its testing, inspection, certification and calibration (TICC) platform.

(CRS), a regional provider of thermal envelope and low-temperature construction solutions, as CES's third acquisition of 2021. The deal expands CES's Structures division by adding CRS's project management, insulated metal panel (IMP) installation expertise and underfloor heating capabilities and strengthens CES's foothold in the U.S. Southeast.
