London-based private equity firm Horizon Capital has invested more than £40 million in Ridge and Partners, the UK built-environment consultancy, providing the firm with its first institutional capital to support growth. The funding will be used to expand talent, broaden capabilities across architecture, engineering, planning and sustainability, and to pursue strategic add-on acquisitions as part of Ridge's ‘Quality, Innovation and Growth’ strategy.

Altamont Capital Partners has completed a strategic growth investment in Horizon Investments, a Charlotte-based registered investment advisor with approximately $7 billion in assets under advisement. The investment will provide capital and strategic support to accelerate Horizon's distribution, expand its goals-based solutions, and pursue add-on acquisitions while Horizon's management remains significant equity holders and John Drahzal assumes the CEO role.

New Mountain Capital Acquires Horizon Group Holdings from Sun Capital Affiliate

New Mountain Capital has acquired Horizon Group Holdings, LLC (Horizon Services) from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. Horizon, a Newark, Delaware-based residential provider of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services with a ~1,400-employee team, will remain managed by founder Dave Geiger and management, and will use New Mountain's capital and resources to accelerate organic and acquisition-led growth.

Hillandale Advisors Acquires Horizon Roofing & Restoration

Hillandale Advisors, a Charlotte-based lower-middle-market investment firm, has acquired Horizon Roofing & Restoration, a residential and commercial roofing and restoration company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The acquisition closed in mid‑July as Hillandale continues to build a platform of services and trades businesses across the Carolinas and Southeast.

Oak Hill Capital Acquires Equity Stake in Mercer Advisors (Recapitalization)
