TriMech Acquires Solid Solutions Group

TriMech, a portfolio company of Sentinel Capital Partners, has acquired Solid Solutions Group (SSG), the leading SOLIDWORKS reseller and 3D CAD/CAM services provider in the United Kingdom and Ireland, from LDC. The deal expands TriMech's global engineering design platform, adds SSG’s ~23 UK/Ireland offices and 250+ employees, and is supported by follow-on equity from Sentinel; Solid Solutions’ CEO Alan Sampson will become President of TriMech’s UK & European business.

Existing backer BGF will exit its minority stake; Solid Solutions (headquartered in Leamington Spa) employs over 230 people, operates from 23 offices and generates annual revenue in excess of £50 million.

GracoRoberts Acquires UK-based Silmid Limited

GracoRoberts, a PE-backed specialty chemicals distributor, has agreed to acquire UK-based Silmid Limited to expand its global aerospace distribution footprint into the UK and Europe. The deal adds Silmid's ecommerce platform, a 24,000 sq. ft. UK warehouse and complementary aerospace specialty chemicals capabilities; CM Equity Partners supported the transaction as GracoRoberts' private equity sponsor.

Tiderock Companies Acquires GRP Alliance (to be Tiderock Composites)

Tiderock Companies (OTC PINK: TDRK) completed the acquisition of GRP Alliance Limited — a UK company formed to acquire the assets of MTAG Composites — and will rebrand it as Tiderock Composites Limited. The Coningsby, Lincolnshire facility will be retained and continue producing ISO 9001–accredited phenolic, epoxy and polyester glass- and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic moldings for aerospace, marine, rail and entertainment markets.

Stratasys Acquires RP Support Ltd (RPS)

Stratasys Ltd. acquired UK-based RP Support Ltd (RPS), the developer of the Neo line of industrial stereolithography (SLA) 3D printers. The acquisition expands Stratasys' polymer 3D printing portfolio across the product life cycle and is expected to be slightly accretive to revenue and non-GAAP EPS by the end of 2021.
