Formosa Laboratories Acquires SynChem to Expand North American CDMO Footprint

Formosa Laboratories, Inc., a Taiwan-based API supplier and CDMO, has completed its acquisition of SynChem, Inc., a contract research laboratory in suburban Chicago. SynChem will operate as SynChem-Formosa with Dr. W. Paul Mar remaining as CEO as the combined operations expand Formosa's US CDMO capabilities for small-molecule APIs and ADC-related chemistries.

Seatex Acquires ChemQuest Chemicals

Seatex, a specialty chemical manufacturer backed by Cotton Creek Capital, has acquired ChemQuest Chemicals, a custom toll manufacturer headquartered in Pasadena, Texas. The deal, completed in September 2022, expands Seatex's production capacity and technical capabilities while providing continuity for ChemQuest customers; Edgewater Capital Partners, ChemQuest's private equity owner, sold the business.

The TECMA Group Acquires NCH Customs Brokers

The TECMA Group, through its subsidiary Tecma Customs Solutions, has purchased and merged NCH Customs Brokers, a customs brokerage serving clients along the U.S.–Mexico border. The acquisition brings NCH into Tecma's Customs Group to scale operations, improve technology and service for cross-border manufacturing clients; financial terms were not disclosed.

FBC Chemical Corporation Acquires TR Chem Solutions, LLC

The acquisition expands FBC's product portfolio and supplier network, adding TR Chem's silicone fluids, specialty additives, industrial emulsions and food‑grade lubricants to FBC's distribution and toll‑blending capabilities.

Chemstream Acquires Synthex Organics
