Wynnchurch Capital, a Chicago-area private equity firm, has acquired The Wheel Group, a designer and distributor of branded aftermarket wheels, specialty tires and related accessories based in Ontario, California. Wynnchurch said the investment will be a new platform to accelerate TWG's growth, leveraging the company's portfolio of proprietary brands, sourcing capabilities and 20 U.S. and Canadian sales and distribution centers.

Drew operates multiple manufacturing facilities across the Southeast U.S. serving packaging, building products and OEM end markets; terms were not disclosed and Wynnchurch intends to support the company's organic and inorganic growth.
