Marsh McLennan Acquires McGriff Insurance Services

Marsh McLennan (through its Marsh McLennan Agency business) has acquired McGriff Insurance Services, LLC for $7.75 billion in cash, a deal that strengthens Marsh McLennan Agency’s capabilities across commercial property & casualty, employee benefits, management liability and personal lines. McGriff—an affiliate of TIH—reported roughly $1.3 billion of trailing twelve-month revenue and will bring more than 3,500 employees into Marsh McLennan; the transaction closed following customary regulatory approvals.

US Acute Care Solutions Acquires MIDEO (My Informed Decision on VidEO)

USACS said it will incorporate MIDEO into its offerings to enhance patient safety and provide the platform at no cost to its >6,000 employees while expanding visibility and technical capabilities across its network.

Medici Acquires Chiron Health

Austin-based telehealth operator Medici has acquired Chiron Health, a telemedicine video-visit platform that is embedded in multiple EMR systems and serves more than 1,000 physician practices. Medici said it will retain Chiron Health employees and integrate Chiron’s scheduled video-visit capabilities with Medici’s secure messaging and virtual care features to broaden its remote-care offering.

Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires The Horton Group, Inc.

Marsh McLennan Agency (a subsidiary of Marsh) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The Horton Group, Inc., a full-service insurance brokerage based in Orland Park, Illinois. Horton’s approximately nine offices and employees (including CEO Dan Horton) will join Marsh McLennan Agency and continue operating locally; the deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024 and terms were not disclosed.

Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires Graham Company

All 215 Graham employees will join Marsh McLennan Agency, enabling the firm to expand its business insurance and employee benefits capabilities in the East region.

Marsh McLennan Agency Acquires Robins Insurance

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh, has acquired Robins Insurance, a Nashville-based independent insurance agency. Terms were not disclosed; all Robins employees, including CEO Van Robins, will remain at the Nashville office as MMA expands its presence in the Nashville market.
