Sycamore Partners has completed the acquisition of Lowe's Canadian retail business, which will operate as RONA inc., headquartered in Boucherville, Quebec. The business operates or services approximately 450 corporate and affiliated stores under banners including RONA, Lowe's, Réno-Dépôt and Dick's Lumber and employs roughly 26,000 people across Canada.

OrePac Building Products Acquires Western Timber Products

OrePac Building Products, a family-owned wholesale supplier based in Wilsonville, Oregon, has agreed to acquire Western Timber Products, a specialty softwood lumber and custom millwork manufacturer headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The deal, announced Feb. 26, 2024, is expected to close around early April 2024 and will keep Western Timber's owner Dan Seid involved to assist in the transition.
