Symphony Technology Group Acquires McAfee Enterprise Business

A consortium led by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG) completed the acquisition of McAfee's Enterprise business in a transaction announced for $4.0 billion. The divestiture separates McAfee's enterprise security operations — which generated about $1.3 billion in FY2020 revenue and served the vast majority of Fortune 100 customers — allowing McAfee to focus on consumer security while STG invests to grow the standalone enterprise cybersecurity business.

The deal, announced January 30, 2020 and closed March 2, 2020, brings RSA into TriMas' Aerospace segment and expands TriMas' capabilities and position in defense, business jet and aftermarket markets.
