Labcorp Acquires Certain BioReference Health Laboratory Assets for $237.5M

Labcorp will acquire certain laboratory testing businesses and operating assets from Opko Health subsidiary BioReference Health for $237.5 million. The assets — which generate roughly $100 million in annual revenue — include patient service centers and select customer contracts across the U.S. (excluding New York and New Jersey); BioReference Health will retain its oncology and urology diagnostic businesses and full operations in New York and New Jersey. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2024, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.

Granata Bio Acquires Oviva Therapeutics

Granata Bio has acquired Oviva Therapeutics, a women's health biotech developing OVI-586, a first-in-class therapeutic aimed at extending ovarian function and improving reproductive outcomes. The acquisition expands Granata's fertility and women's health pipeline and will advance OVI-586 toward further development for applications including menopause, contraception, and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Ultrahuman has acquired viO HealthTech and launched Cycle & Ovulation Pro for its Ultrahuman Ring AIR, integrating viO's clinically validated OvuSense ovulation-tracking algorithm into the ring using finger-based temperature sensing. viO's technology — developed over 15 years with FDA 510(k) clearance and CE Class IIa certifications — will be offered as a paid subscription across the US, UK, EU, Canada and Australia. The deal brings clinical-grade women's health capability to Ultrahuman's consumer wearable platform to improve cycle and ovulation insights.
