HiberCell Acquires Genuity Science, Inc.

HiberCell, a clinical-stage oncology company, acquired Genuity Science, a genomics and multi‑omic analytics company with an advanced AI/ML platform, to integrate next‑generation computational capabilities into its translational oncology efforts. The stock acquisition brings Genuity and its subsidiaries into HiberCell, provides approximately $100 million in cash and existing partnership earnouts, and is intended to accelerate HiberCell's clinical programs and expand its preclinical pipeline.

Vividion Therapeutics Acquires Tavros Therapeutics

Novartis Acquires Vedere Bio

Novartis has acquired Vedere Bio, a Cambridge-based optogenetics AAV gene therapy company, for $150 million upfront plus up to $130 million in potential regulatory and clinical milestones (total consideration of $280 million). The deal includes Vedere Bio's lead preclinical intravitreal AAV programs focused on pan-genotypic vision restoration; earlier-stage assets were spun out into a newly formed independent company, Vedere Bio II.

Twist Bioscience Acquires iGenomX

Twist Bioscience acquired iGenomX, a developer of high-throughput multiplex NGS library preparation tools, to expand its NGS workflow capabilities and accelerate customer conversion from microarray genotyping to sequencing-based genotyping. The deal consideration was $35 million (combination of cash and Twist stock, plus up to $5 million contingent stock), and Twist expects modest near-term financial impact with incremental revenue from the acquired business in fiscal 2023.

Genezen Acquires uniQure's Commercial Gene Therapy Manufacturing Operations in Lexington, MA

Genezen has acquired uniQure's commercial gene therapy manufacturing operations and licensed viral-vector facility in Lexington, Massachusetts. The deal (funded in part by growth equity from Ampersand Capital Partners) transfers a commercially licensed AAV-capable manufacturing site and team to Genezen and includes strategic supply agreements to support uniQure's clinical portfolio and CSL Behring's commercial HEMGENIX product.
