EQT Acquires LSP (Life Sciences Partners)

EQT AB has acquired LSP (Life Sciences Partners), a leading European life-sciences venture capital firm, in a transaction that creates a new EQT Life Sciences business line. The deal values the upfront consideration at EUR 450 million (25% cash / 75% EQT shares) with a EUR 25 million earn‑out paid on meeting fundraising targets (total consideration EUR 475 million at close); LSP's 34-person team and partners join EQT to strengthen its healthcare investing capabilities.

TSCP said it will support LSBio's strategy to expand its catalog and capabilities organically and via targeted acquisitions; terms were not disclosed.

EQT will support SPT's next phase of growth by accelerating product innovation, scaling its Cryo-EM sample preparation business and expanding into new geographies and end markets; the transaction is expected to close in Q3 2022.

EQT to Acquire VetPartners from National Veterinary Associates

EQT has agreed to acquire VetPartners, the largest provider of veterinary and animal health services in Australia and New Zealand, from National Veterinary Associates. VetPartners operates a network of 267 clinics and specialty hospitals with over 4,300 clinical and support staff; EQT says it will invest in diagnostic equipment, technology, recruitment and training to support continued growth and improved clinical outcomes. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to close around the end of the calendar year.
