Permira Acquires Squarespace

Permira has completed an all-cash acquisition of Squarespace, valuing the website-building and SMB-focused SaaS platform at approximately $7.2 billion and taking the company private. Squarespace founder and CEO Anthony Casalena rolled over a substantial majority of his equity and will remain CEO and chairman, while existing investors Accel and General Atlantic remain meaningful shareholders.
