(FTX.US) has executed an agreement to acquire Ledger Holdings Inc., parent company of CFTC-regulated LedgerX, a digital currency futures and options exchange and clearinghouse. The acquisition is intended to expand FTX.US's regulated crypto derivatives capabilities for both retail and institutional US customers; the deal is subject to customary closing conditions and financial terms were not disclosed.

Coinbase Acquires FairX to Build Regulated Crypto Derivatives Offering

Coinbase announced it is acquiring FairX (operating as LMX Labs, LLC), a CFTC-designated derivatives exchange, to accelerate the launch of regulated crypto derivatives for retail and institutional customers in the United States. The deal gives Coinbase a regulated trading venue and associated infrastructure and talent, enabling it to offer listed futures initially through FairX's partner ecosystem and eventually to all Coinbase customers; the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

Miami International Holdings Acquires Minneapolis Grain Exchange

Warburg Pincus Invests $100M in Miami International Holdings

Warburg Pincus has committed a $100 million growth investment in Miami International Holdings (MIH) to accelerate MIAX’s global expansion, fund construction of a physical trading floor for MIAX Sapphire in Miami, and support development of trading, matching-engine and clearing technology across MIH’s exchanges. The investment, which may be expanded subject to conditions, includes Warburg Pincus board participation and will also fund MIH’s further product development and potential acquisitions internationally.

Miami International Holdings Acquires Dorman Trading

(MIH) has completed the acquisition of Dorman Trading, LLC, a Chicago-based futures commission merchant (FCM) that provides execution and clearing services for introducing brokers, retail customers, institutional clients and professional traders. MIH said the deal expands its futures trade execution, listing and clearing capabilities and will enable growth of services offered to Dorman Trading’s customers.
