Alterity Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of NFP, acquired Hager Strategic, Inc., a Washington D.C.-based benefits, HR and payroll consulting firm. The transaction closed on May 6, 2022, and Hager Strategic principals Mike Hager and Faisal Saleh joined Alterity to expand the firm’s capabilities in health and welfare, retirement administration, HR systems and payroll consulting.

NFP Acquires Advanced Insurance Consultants Limited

NFP has acquired Hemel Hempstead-based Advanced Insurance Consultants Limited (AIC), with the entire AIC team joining NFP following the deal, which closed on December 15. Accelerant Holdings Acquires Commonwealth Insurance Company of America (CICA)

Accelerant Holdings acquired Commonwealth Insurance Company of America (CICA) from Brit Group (a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial) and will rename the carrier Accelerant National Insurance Company. The deal expands Accelerant's U.S. capabilities by adding an admitted insurance carrier and coincides with the U.S. rollout of its underwriting and analytics platform, Accelerant InSightFull; Accelerant is PE-backed by Altamont Capital Partners.

NFP Acquires Southern Insurance Agency LLC

NFP, an Aon company, has acquired Southern Insurance Agency LLC (SIA), a New Orleans-based commercial property and casualty broker. Founder Louis Faust will join NFP as a senior vice president, and the deal expands NFP’s commercial P&C capabilities and presence in the New Orleans area and across Louisiana.
