Orchard Software Corporation has acquired Corwen, LLC to expand its molecular testing capabilities and integrate Corwen’s molecular workflow and instrument-integration software into Orchard’s laboratory information system (LIS). The acquisition is intended to enhance Orchard’s support for high-volume molecular testing, including COVID-19 workflows, sample pooling, and liquid handler integration, and to better serve shared customers such as UNC Chapel Hill and Genetworx.
