Nuvei Acquires SafeCharge International Group Limited for US $889M

Montreal-based payments company Nuvei, supported by private equity firm Novacap and institutional investor CDPQ, completed the acquisition of SafeCharge International Group Limited for US $889 million, privatizing the AIM-listed business. The deal combines SafeCharge's payments technology, card acquiring and risk management capabilities with Nuvei's distribution and scale, with Montreal becoming the combined organization's worldwide headquarters.

Advent to Acquire Sapiens for $2.5 Billion

Nuvei Agrees to Acquire Pay2All Instituição de Pagamento in Brazil

Nuvei entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Pay2All Instituição de Pagamento Ltda., a licensed Payment Institution authorized by Brazil’s Central Bank. The deal is intended to strengthen Nuvei’s LATAM presence by enabling Nuvei to offer comprehensive payment services in Brazil, including participation in local payment systems such as PIX, and supporting growth in Brazil’s iGaming and eCommerce ecosystems.

Visa Acquires Prisma and Newpay from Advent International (Group Prisma)

Advent International has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a significant stake in Suven Pharmaceuticals from the Jasti family and will make an open offer for an additional 26% of public shares. Advent plans to evaluate a merger of its CDMO and API platform company, Cohance Lifesciences, with Suven to create a scaled end-to-end CDMO + merchant API powerhouse serving pharma and specialty chemical markets, subject to board and regulatory approvals.
