Afya Limited entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of the total share capital of Sociedade Educacional e Cultural Sergipe DelRey Ltda., which operates Centro Universitário Tiradentes Alagoas (UNIT Alagoas) and Faculdade Tiradentes Jaboatão dos Guararapes (FITS Jaboatão dos Guararapes). The deal includes a licensed use of the UNIT and FITS brands for Afya during the first year. The enterprise value is R$825.0 million, with R$575 million paid in cash at closing and R$250 million paid in three annual installments, and is expected to add 340 medical school seats to Afya.
