Alerian, an independent index provider, acquired ETF Trends and ETF Database to combine research, data and digital distribution capabilities with its indexing business. The deal brings together the firms' advisory-focused research and proprietary data with Alerian's index creation and distribution platform and maintains offices in Dallas, Edmonton, Irvine and New York.
