Alta Equipment Group Acquires Howell Tractor and Equipment, LLC

Alta Equipment Group (NYSE: ALTG) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Howell Tractor and Equipment, a long-standing heavy equipment dealer serving Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana. Howell Tractor, which operates facilities in Gary, Indiana and Peru, Illinois, generated approximately $33.1 million in revenue and $5.0 million of adjusted EBITDA in the trailing twelve months through July 2020; the deal expands Alta's presence in the Illinois/Northwest Indiana construction market.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Ginop Sales

The acquisition expands Alta's construction equipment footprint in Michigan (to ten locations) and strengthens its relationship with Kubota; Ginop reported approximately $65 million of revenue and $6.5 million of adjusted EBIT for the trailing twelve months ended August 2021.

Applied Industrial Technologies Acquires Gibson Engineering

Gibson’s team of more than 40 associates will expand Applied’s automation capabilities and footprint across the U.S. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic; terms were not disclosed.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Ault Industries

Alta Equipment Group (Livonia, Michigan) has acquired Ault Industries, a privately held Canadian equipment distributor with locations in Ontario and Quebec, for a total purchase price of $36.0 million. The acquisition expands Alta's construction equipment footprint into Canada (Toronto and Montreal markets), adds an exclusive McCloskey distributorship, and is expected to be accretive to the company's cash flow conversion and earnings per share.

Midwest Mine Services, headquartered near Toledo (Northwood), Ohio, generated approximately $17 million in revenue and $1.3 million of adjusted EBITDA for the trailing twelve months ended July 2021; terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close in Q4 2021.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires Ambrose Equipment

Alta Equipment Group Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Ambrose Equipment, LLC, a family-owned equipment distributor and LeeBoy asphalt equipment dealer based in Hooksett, New Hampshire. The acquisition expands Alta's footprint to 39 locations across 10 states; Ambrose generated approximately $35 million of revenue and $3.1 million of adjusted EBITDA on a trailing-twelve-month basis. The asset purchase is expected to close before year-end, with terms to be disclosed upon closing.
