Arbor Networks Acquires Ellacoya Networks

Arbor Networks has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ellacoya Networks, a provider of carrier-class deep packet inspection (DPI) and broadband service optimization solutions. The acquisition is intended to expand Arbor's capability across the service delivery infrastructure by combining Arbor's flow-based security and service control with Ellacoya's DPI technology to improve network visibility, traffic management and enable new revenue-generating IP services.
