Arcapita Affiliate Acquires Cypress Communications

An affiliate of Arcapita Inc. has acquired Cypress Communications Holding Co., Inc. in a transaction valued at $41.5 million, taking the company private. Cypress, a hosted PBX and managed IP communications provider headquartered in Atlanta, will be led by new CEO Robert D. Shingler and will receive debt-free, all-equity capital from Arcapita to accelerate growth and expand its services to small and mid-sized business customers.
